Health and Safety Policy
General Statement of Intent

WaspKill UK Pest Control is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of its employees, customers, contractors, and members of the public who may be affected by our operations, in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated regulations.
We recognize that maintaining a safe working environment is fundamental to our business success. To achieve this, WaspKill UK has implemented a comprehensive health and safety management system, prioritizing the identification, assessment, and control of risks to reduce accidents, injuries, and ill health as far as is reasonably practicable.
Our Commitment
WaspKill UK will, so far as is reasonably practicable:
- Provide and maintain safe plant, equipment, and systems of work that are without risks to health, in line with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
- Ensure the safe handling, storage, and transport of substances and articles, as required by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH).
- Provide adequate information, instruction, training, and supervision to ensure employees are competent to perform their roles safely, per the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
- Identify hazards, conduct regular risk assessments, and implement control measures to eliminate, reduce, or manage risks to employees and others affected by our activities.
- Maintain safe and healthy workplaces, including adequate welfare facilities, in accordance with the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992.
- Consult with employees and their representatives on health and safety matters, as required under the Health and Safety (Consultation with Employees) Regulations 1996.
- Regularly review and update this policy to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and guidance.
Responsibilities
WaspKill UK views health and safety as a shared responsibility:
- Management: The CEO and senior management are responsible for ensuring that adequate resources are allocated to health and safety, that risk assessments are conducted, and that policies are implemented effectively.
- Employees: All employees must take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others affected by their actions. They are required to comply with this policy, report hazards or incidents, and participate in health and safety training.
- Health and Safety Officer: A designated competent person will oversee the implementation of this policy, monitor compliance, and provide guidance on health and safety matters.
Risk Management
In accordance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, WaspKill UK will:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
- Ensure that all employees are trained in safe working practices and are aware of their responsibilities.
- Maintain records of risk assessments, training, and incidents, as required by law.
Compliance and Monitoring
WaspKill UK will comply with all applicable UK health and safety legislation, including but not limited to:
- Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
- Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
- Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992
- Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992
This policy will be reviewed annually or following significant changes in operations or legislation to ensure continued compliance and effectiveness. Any updates will be communicated to all employees and relevant stakeholders.
